"Now, Broken Doll!"

After a good rest, a couple smokes and 4-XL pizza's, we went back at it. But this time in the basement! I wanted to post these tomorrow because my sisters, Lindsay, birthday gift is in the basement and I included it in this photoshoot.

So if you see this, Happy Birthday! (haha)

And, it's not done yet. (I'm hoping to finish it tomorrow...)

:D

Anyway, the pictures turned out amazing! (Just as any picture with Brett in it would be)

I think our inspiration was the Diva (by Beyonce) video.

Enjoy!

PS. Brett, these are amazing by the way. I love them. <3

One man's garbage is another man's nest.

Yesterday an old friend and I were just hungry for a photoshoot so we decided, "let's drive around and find something that peaks our interest!" Sure enough, 10 minutes past the perimeter we found a small abandoned shack just off a small side gravel road. It looked perfect!

When we pulled up, Old Man Winters was there doing something...a sneaky something....so we pulled up ahead and by the time we realized that we were kinda stuck and the only way out would be passing this small shack again we turned around. Thankfully, Old Man Winters had left after disposing of the bo...being sneaky.

We parked and went straight into the shack - it was GORGEOUS! Full of random junk, garbage, broken glass, some old, but interesting, insulation that resembled old mulched wool. We found a gold mine.

We started to shoot while fully clothed...but it looked bland. So, and reason for my blog, my model got naked. And fast!

Each angle and shot just got better and better!

I felt that it looked like some sort of 'Human Nest'. Making the nest out of people's old garbage and scraps that he found around the fields.

Enjoy!

Give'er.

Not only is this my first blog post but it's my first blog. So, I will start by saying that I will most likely not use proper grammar or punctuation...sorry. If you know me, you'll know that words, or English for that matter, aren't my strong suit. Sad, right?

Anyhoo! I am currently relaxing on my very beautiful backyard because my room mate, Cory, is the gay male prodigy of Martha Stewart; flowers and everything! And I figured that I should enjoy every moment of this years summer and post outside.

Let's dive in!

I recently purchased a camera, a Nikon D90, which I have fallen in love with. All 12.3 megapixels of it. And with it I have started taking pictures...AMAZING pictures. So this blog will be somewhat of an adventure with me through my self-teachings of photography.

Feel free to critique my pictures BUT understand that some pictures have specific factors, or road blocks that I just don't understand how to fix, that make this whole learning process tough as hell.

The situation: 10 second timer, no flash, and a cloudy rainy day that gave off this light with the most beautiful hue of bluish teal (luckily) and a wooden chair.

The product: Nude, but classy, photos. (What else are you going to do with this type of situation?)
